Production of TV
Sponsorship Spots

Sponsorship spots, or sponsorship messages, typically last ten seconds. Their content is regulated by advertising laws and cannot include a call to action, encourage purchasing, or promote consumption. Despite this, program sponsorship is often a very effective and cost-efficient communication tool. You can communicate a logo, slogan, brand name, website address, or other contact information. By carefully selecting programs, sponsorship can bring your brand or product closer to your target audience, and when combined with a traditional advertising campaign, it can amplify the desired campaign effect.

How We Work

Everything revolves around what you want the viewer to do when they see your sponsorship message on TV. This is the most important factor for us throughout the entire design and production process. We begin by understanding how you want the sponsorship to function. Based on this, we prepare two to three creative concepts (scripts) and send them to you along with voice samples of the actors we recommend for the spot. This part of the work is provided for a flat fee of 6,000 CZK and typically takes about one to two weeks. You will also receive an estimated cost estimate for the production. If you like any of the proposals, we will draft an order, prepare a timeline for the work (usually ranging from one week to one month, depending on the complexity), and incorporate your feedback into the script. Only once you approve the script do we begin the production. The result is a functional sponsorship spot, with production costs ranging from 30,000 to 200,000 CZK. This price includes the preparation of your brief, the work of professional creatives on the proposal designs, the work of the advertising director, and other experienced production team members. The final cost is influenced primarily by the type of spot. Animated spots, created “on the computer,” are less expensive than live-action spots, where the budget is higher due to the number of actors and filming costs in a studio or on location.

Simple Animated Sponsorship Spot

This type of spot is primarily created “on the computer” using 2D or 3D animation. Among the least demanding to produce are 2D spots, but this is not always the case. A simple 3D spot featuring, for example, a static 3D product might be less time-consuming and expensive to produce than a 2D spot with an animated character in motion. The spot can also be produced using footage purchased from a commercial video bank, allowing you to create a visually appealing spot at a lower cost. For inspiration, check out examples of such spots, which are listed in order of production complexity. The production cost ranges from 30,000 to 60,000 CZK.

More Complex Animated Sponsorship Spot

This type of spot is also primarily created on the computer, but it doesn’t have to be limited to just that. We can incorporate other techniques, such as animation in a real environment using special methods (e.g., stop motion), or even animation with real puppets, or a combination of animation and live-action footage. What sets this category apart from the previous one is the higher complexity in production time and the need for more experienced animators and possibly a director. The following spots are once again listed in order of increasing complexity. The production cost ranges from 40,000 to 80,000 CZK.

Live-Action Sponsorship Spot

In this category, we introduce actors and require more preparation. At least one day of filming with professional film equipment is necessary. We need to decide on the locations for the shoot and determine what the actors will wear. For such a spot, we typically need at least 3 weeks of preparation. The first week is spent finalizing the script and the environment where the spot will take place. The second week involves preparing for the shoot and filming. In the third week, we process the footage into its final form. The financial complexity is primarily influenced by the number of actors, the location, and the complexity of the shoot (filming in a studio is usually less expensive). The following spots are again listed in order of increasing complexity. The production cost ranges from 60,000 to 150,000 CZK.

More Complex
Live-Action Sponsorship Spot

In this category, we add more elements compared to the previous one, such as location scouting, set construction, special effects, or film techniques. The preparation and production usually take 4 weeks or more. For the spot, we may need to prepare special costumes, or test how best to shoot the approved concept before filming begins. In addition to the script, we also create a more detailed storyboard, where we sketch out the individual shots. Sometimes, we even create an “animatic”—an animated version of the spot—through which we test that everything will work before we move on to filming. The following spots are again listed in order of increasing complexity. The production cost ranges from 80,000 to 200,000 CZK, but the upper limit can easily exceed this range, especially if the budget includes fees for a well-known actor or celebrity, which can significantly raise the cost.
